From Chicago to Moncton and Beyond: AFROdisiac’s Bold, Unapologetic Year of Growth
Folks, if 2025 had a theme for AFROdisiac, it would be this:
Expansion. Elevation. Impact.
From Chicago to Moncton and beyond, this year has proven something I’ve always known deep down — when your work is grounded in truth, equity, lived experience, and unapologetic honesty, the world will take notice.
This was a year AFROdisiac Consulting grew beyond belief.
Not because of fancy marketing campaigns.
Not because of flashy gimmicks.
But because leaders, teams, and organizations finally decided they were ready for real conversations — the kind that challenge, expand, and transform.
And because my clients showed up. Fully.
Word-of-mouth referrals? They carried this business farther than any algorithm ever could.
Trust? It was earned, shared, and multiplied.
I am beyond blessed.
Beyond grateful.
And deeply proud of what we built together this year.
A Year of Impact: Workshops, Keynotes, and Conversations That Moved People
2025 was packed — and powerful.
Workshops that shifted workplace culture
This year, I delivered some of my most meaningful and honest workshops yet, including:
-
Navigating Conflict: Addressing Bias, Microaggressions, and De-escalation with Confidence — built for healthcare leaders committed to psychological safety
-
Building Inclusive and Neurodiverse Workplaces — a deep dive into disability justice, inclusive design, accommodations, and intersectionality
-
Inclusive Hiring: Writing Job Postings That Don’t Exclude the Very Talent You Claim to Want — because we’re done with gatekeeping disguised as HR best practice
Each workshop wasn’t just a session — it was a conversation, an awakening, a call to action.
Keynotes across North America
This year also took me across borders and across stages — from corporate headquarters to ERGs to nonprofits committed to justice and belonging.
My keynote “Thriving Today. Building Tomorrow.” opened hearts, sparked reflection, and reminded people what leadership looks like when identity, resilience, and truth matter.
Client partnerships that changed systems
From shaping a multi-year DEI strategy for a large North America and internationally utilities company, to coaching leaders navigating organizational change, to supporting teams who want more than performative statements — this year was about building equity into the bones of workplaces, not sprinkling it on top.
The organizations who hired me weren’t looking for checkboxes.
They wanted transformation.
And they showed up ready to do the work.
AFROdisiac’s Growth: A Business Built on Purpose and Proof
This year, AFROdisiac:
✔️ Grew its client base across sectors — healthcare, utilities, nonprofits, manufacturing, academia, finance, and government
✔️ Expanded programming, offerings, and custom facilitation
✔️ Deepened partnerships
✔️ Hit new milestones in reach, reputation, and recognition
✔️ Continued to build a brand rooted in authenticity, Black excellence, and lived wisdom
Every workshop, keynote, and consulting engagement reaffirmed one thing:
People don’t just want inclusion. They want inclusion with heart, honesty, backbone, and clarity.
That’s what AFROdisiac brings.
That’s what this year proved.
The Personal Side: This Year Changed Me Too
-
that purpose is magnetic
-
that being “the only one” in a room is a superpower
-
that rest is part of resistance
-
and that motherhood, leadership, and advocacy can — and do — coexist beautifully
My lived experience continues to guide every room I walk into.
And this year, more people than ever welcomed that truth.
